Detector Oy has signed an acquisition agreement through which the company will become a major shareholder in DD-Control Oy. The transaction will take effect on 1 July 2026.
DD-Control will continue to operate as an independent company, and the acquisition will further strengthen the cooperation between the two companies. The transaction is part of Detector’s long-term strategy to enhance its technological expertise and support the continuous development of gas detection solutions.
Through the acquisition, Detector strengthens its position particularly in the development of electronics, software, and digital services for its own systems. Closer collaboration will enable faster product development and a stronger ability to respond to changing customer needs.

This acquisition strengthens our expertise in these areas and gives us even better opportunities to develop our products and services to meet future needs,” says Sami Heinonen, CEO of Detector Oy.
The acquisition will particularly support the continued development of Detector’s SEGURO product family and Valvomo remote monitoring service. A stronger ownership position enables more long-term product development and greater influence over system maintenance, future enhancements, and the design of new features.

The acquisition will not affect DD-Control’s current operations or customer relationships. Cooperation will continue as before, but with even closer collaboration on joint development projects and future solutions.
