Implementing the UN Sustainable Development Goals at Detector

The work of global sustainable development is guided by the sustainable development agenda agreed upon in the United Nations in 2015, known as Agenda 2030. It encompasses 17 goals that countries should collectively achieve by the year 2030. At Detector, we have identified the following four goals that Detector can best advance through its business operations.
Responsibility for Gender Equality
For us, having a diverse workforce is a strength and an opportunity. We share a common goal and respect each other and each other’s work. We want the best talents on our team and offer employment and compensation based on competence regardless of gender. Different backgrounds and perspectives foster creativity and improve operations. By 2023, over half of Detector’s executive team will be women.

Responsible Consumption
Through our operations, we aim to conserve nature and natural resources and promote ethical production. Sustainable development and responsibility are considered in the design and styling of our products. Suppliers are a crucial part of successful business, and through responsible supplier selection, we also support the achievement of sustainable development goals. We emphasize lifecycle thinking in products and services we offer and promote circular economy.
Climate Actions
We are ambitiously and purposefully working to reduce environmental impacts in our operations. In product design and supplier selections, we support the achievement of sustainable development goals. In addition to responsible material procurement, we strive to use renewable materials in production and conserve natural resources. Our goal is to reduce our carbon footprint by 30% relative to revenue by 2035.
Carbon roadmap

The carbon footprint comprises the following components:
- Scope 1: Annual greenhouse gas emissions from fossil fuel consumption for heating, and N2O and CH4 emissions from carbon-neutral heating fuels.
- Scope 2: Direct greenhouse gas emissions from annual electricity consumption, greenhouse gas emissions from fossil fuel consumption for heating, and N2O and CH4 emissions from carbon-neutral heating fuels.
- Scope 3: Indirect emissions from electricity production, greenhouse gas emissions from waste treatment (excluding transportation), emissions from waste transportation, greenhouse gas emissions from business travel, greenhouse gas emissions from transportation of products and raw materials, and greenhouse gas emissions from the production of transportation fuels for product and raw material transportation.

Environmental protection is important to us. To generate as little waste as possible, we strive to minimize waste generation at all stages of production and consumption. We sort all the waste and continuously work to promote efficient recycling. Additionally, where applicable, we utilize the potential for reusing materials in our products. Using reusable material conserves natural resources, reduces waste, and helps to reduce our carbon footprint.
Through sustainable design, we consider the entire lifecycle of our products, ensuring the maintainability and longevity of our end products. With regular maintenance, the service life of our products can be significantly extended. Our company also holds the ISO14001 environmental certificate.

RESPONSIBILITY IN THE SUPPLY CHAIN

In our operations, we consider, and respect internationally recognized human rights included in key human rights agreements, and we expect the same from our suppliers.

EMPLOYEE WELL-BEING

We aim to attract the best talents and offer employment and compensation based on qualifications regardless of gender. We strive to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for our employees and support them in achieving work-life balance. A well-being and motivated staff is one of our company’s most important assets, and we regularly measure employee satisfaction. We take care of our employees by providing comprehensive employment benefits.
